TRAK360

Modular warehousing software to cover logistics from purchasing to shipping

TRAK360’S MODULAR DESIGN BRINGS ALL WAREHOUSE OPERATIONS TO ONE PLACE

Trak360 is modularly designed  in order to best match the needs of the organizations that use it. 30 years of development has brought Barcontrol’s WMS software to its newest phase, with improved interfaces and new features.

Warehousing

INVENTORY CONTROL

Inventory Control is the central module to Trak360. With over 100 inventory parameters, detail and sophistication can be easily adjusted. With inventory control, there are more than a dozen other modules that can be enabled to expand the functionality of the system.

BAR CODING

InvTrak360 offers support for real-time bar code scanning, label printing, and more in order to effectively manage your warehouse operations. This module interacts with many of the others in order to automate processes such as receiving, picking, production and many other function that the product supports.

PRODUCTION

The production module assists in the building of prepackaged “kits”. Uniquely, we address the reality of having limited quantities of items to work with in order to easily manage production needs.

Like releasing orders, committed kits can then be released for picking and assembly. As finished goods scanned, the system automatically adjusts to reflect available components in real-time. The finished goods can then be placed on orders and shipped, and still retain details of their components that can be printed on shipping manifests or reviewed later.

ORDER PROCESSING

With the complexities of building orders to a variety of partners the globe, Trak360 stands tall with a variety of features. Starting with order entry, the system handles international shipping, building by weight or volume, multiple carrier configurations. Items can be selected with a variety of filters such as expiration dating, specific shipping warehouses, ingredients, WHO categories, and more.

The order processing module offers integrated access to a customer portal. For example, when a partner builds and submits a shopping cart in your online portal, the order is automatically queued up as pending review in the order entry function. This gives the order processing department the ability to make any changes or special handling to any order, and to group and release orders for picking in efficient waves.

SHIPPING

Able to be scaled to low or high volume shipments, Trak360’s unique license plate methodology allows detailed tracking or every product, lot, and serial. With automated integrations in both UPS & FedEx as well as support for tracking larger shipments Trak360 can cover almost every shipping method conceivable. With powerful built in reports, detailed shipping manifests can easily be attached to shipments quickly and easily.

PICKING MODULE

Trak360 sports a wide array of options for managing warehouse workload including traditional and wave picking. Once orders are released to the warehouse, workloads can be managed from directed picking, pick by label, traditional pick ticket, etc. During pallet building the picking process generates unique outbound pallet labels in order to easily trace products.

Accessory Applications

REPORTING

Trak360 has over 300 available standard reports, grouped by module. Each report has an advanced query option to allow virtually any combination of fields in any table associated with the report. Queries can be changed to give refreshed reports, saved, and recalled. Reports are generated using Crystal reports and can be generated in a traditional format or be exported into an Excel, or PDF file.

EDI

Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) can easily be integrated into your Trak360 installation with our available EDI processor. Our processor can download or send EDI documents via popular VANs or value added data providers like Tracelink. The EDI processor includes mapping ability and can read and write raw .edi flat file documents, saving you the expense of paying a VAN for mapping. Also supported are XML file formats, automatic email notifications, and ASN, PO, and Item automatic data population.

DATA WAREHOUSE

The Data Warehouse is automatically integrated into the core of Trak360. Included in all configurations, but most effective when Purchasing, Inventory, Order Processing, and Shipping are all enabled, the data warehouse is a rich repository of product and logistical information. This store gives end to end movement information in great detail for all products, partners and customers.

REPORTING

EXTENSIVE REPORTING AND ANALYSIS FEATURES

ENTERPRISE LEVEL REPORTING TOOLS TO MANAGE PROGRESS

A critical part of any business is the ability to easily access and report on data in your system. To address these needs, Trak360 has two reporting tools build in. The first is for more traditional reports, and the second is for advanced users wishing to do on-the-fly Ad-Hoc reports, exports, and chart.

STANDARD REPORTS

The standard reporting system in Trak360 is based on over 300 reports build into the system, organized by Module and Category. These reports are developed with Crystal Reports and the query and output operations are to generate reports are a function of the interface.

Along with the standard reports included in Trak360, it is common for clients to want customized version of some reports. In particular shipping manifests and outbound documents. Trak360 accommodates this by allowing reports to be customized and added as a new “Custom” report that shows in the category in a separate column.

When a report is selected, Trak360 gives the user the ability to query on any data fields included in any table in the report. This gives a powerful and flexible data selection capability. Report queries can be saved and retrieved for future/repetitive use. Advanced users can also edit the native Crystal Reports query language to make advanced query requests.

Generation of the report comes up as a PDF file by default. Entries are automatically uploaded and organized for convenient presentation. The output can be printed, exported to email, etc. Like any PDF, the output can be scaled and zoomed. Report output can also be generated for Microsoft Excel.

AD-HOC REPORTS

To meet the needs of advanced users, Trak360 includes an Ad-Hoc report and data export tool. This tool allows a user to pull data from any data tables in the system, query them in any way, and even aggregate and chart the data.

The process starts with selecting the table(s) you would like to pull data from. From here you can select all or any number of columns in your tables(s) and then move on to the filter process.

Similar to Standard Reports, the Ad-Hoc reporting system lets you filter on any data field in your selected tables – even if the field is not in your output! This powerful filter function lets you drill down on the dataset you are looking for with great detail.

With the dataset preview at your fingertips, you now have several options. You can export the dataset to Excel, you can print the results, or you can continue on to drill down further by Aggregating the results.

Aggregation allows you to take your result data set and choose sub columns to report on, group, and sort. This alows you to easiliy build meaningful summaries, groups, and pivots of your data.

Aggregation produces it’s own result set that you can again export to Excel, print, and continue on to charting.

The charting function produces bold graphics for high-impact display of your data. The charts can easily be exported, saved, or emailed – making it easy to share your charts, or import them into your reports and presentations.

WAREHOUSE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

Configurable Tools for a Modern Warehouse

A PROVEN CORE SOFTWARE COUPLED WITH VERSATILE MODULES ALLOWS OUR SYSTEM TO WORK WITH AN INCREDIBLE VARIETY OF SYSTEMS.

Trak360 has evolved and grown over 30 years from the initial Inventory and Warehouse Management software solution. With Inventory Control and Warehouse Management at the product core, it is among the most robust and proven components of the solution. The history of this WMS core is diverse with the configurable and adaptable system being used successfully in an array of applications.

Warehouse Management System

The primary differentiating feature of our WMS system is the vast degree of configuration and scaling that may be applied to tailor the solution to your needs. From inception, the system has always had the ability for data fields, parameters, scanner prompts, and other elements to be enabled, disabled, or modified by the system administrator. This gives our solution the ability to adapt to virtually any situation.

Warehouse Management functionality in Trak360 primarily resides with the Inventory Control, Picking, RF Transaction Processing, and Barcoded Warehouse Management modules. Other available modules further enhance these and other logistics capabilities.

INVENTORY CONTROL

The central core of these modules is Inventory Control. The inventory data tracking and transactions have over 100 available parameters, such as lot, serial, zone, expiration date, restriction, hold, hazmat, etc. There are also 24 user defined parameters that may be enabled to track any unique data elements. There are no practical limits on the number of items or transactions that the system can handle, with tens of thousands of items being tracked being common.

ITEM MASTER CATALOGUE

The item master catalogue can track over 120 SKU specific parameters, such as NDC code, Brand Name, Generic Description, FDA drug information, and much more. All items have the ability to attach unlimited documents and images like product photos, MSDS sheets, information PDF’s and more. Of course, the item master tracks expected levels like minimum and maximum quantities, weights, cubes, reorder points, etc.

POTENTIAL ITEM MASTER CATALOGUE

Unique to the Trak360 system is our Potential item master catalog. This database contains a listing of anticipated items, bar-codes, and other information normally pre-populated from FDA drug databases, vendor item catalogs, or advance ship notices. This potential item repository simplifies warehouse operations by having the system automatically setup new items when a new products are scanned for the first time. This is especially helpful when receiving pharmaceutical donations which often contain products not seen previously.

WAREHOUSE CONFIGURATION

Warehouse configuration offers multiple choices. Most typically floating locations within zones within warehouses are the arrangement. Trak360 supports an unlimited number of warehouses, zones, location types, and storage locations. While preferred locations can be set for items, normally we utilize free or directed put away methods to utilize the first available location of appropriate size for storage. Locations or zones can be designated with various action types to indicate products in quarantine, hold, refrigerated, controlled, staging, etc. The various types have associated allowed or blocked actions to prevent incorrect product usage.

RF REAL-TIME TRANSACTION PROCESSING MODULE

The RF (Radio Frequency) Real-Time transaction processing module utilizes an https RESTful interface to quickly process validations and transactions from portable transactions computers (scanners). This well proven application works locally as well as with warehouses on the other side of the world via internet connection. This interface supplies the application configuration to the scanners for central administration. The RF processor can validate any field or process any transaction in real-time, with immediate feedback for incorrect entries. All databases are also updated in real time for every warehouse transaction.

BARCODED WAREHOUSE MODULE

The Barcoded Warehouse module works in conjunction with the RF processor and the Inventory Control modules to offer additional features and components. This module allows the administrator to build custom entry screens and prompts that can be downloaded to a variety of portable transaction computers. The module also incorporates various barcode printing and labeling functions to generate everything from rack location labels to pallet license plates and air shipment labels.

PHYSICAL INVENTORY & CYCLE COUNTING

Physical Inventory and Cycle Counting are integrated components in the Inventory Control module. Physical inventory is designed to be done by warehouse region (like a storage isle) with full audit of counts, recounts, reconciliation reporting, and posting of adjustments. Three methods are available for cycle counting. Opportunistic cycle counting can be configured to prompt for a count of a product based on set criteria, when a warehouse worker happens to be touching that product for some other operation, like picking an order. Directed cycle counting is driven by the system and configured parameters to direct workers to count certain locations within requested ranges. Location adjustments and recounts are available as un-directed cycle count options.

ADDITIONAL MODULES

As other modules are enabled in Trak360, additional warehouse management features will become available. An example would be enabling the Picking module. This will enable various choices for order picking methods. Single order picks, wave picks, pick-face replenishment, directed picking, pick by label and other custom or hybrid picking methods or among the available options. Another example would be enabling the inbound advance shipment notification (ASN) module. With ASN’s, barcoded receiving documents or other automated receiving scanner options can be enabled.

WHAT YOU GET

The specialty of our WMS capabilities is flexibility. The ability to track regulated, high value products like pharmaceuticals or high-tech components as well as large and bulk goods from the pallet or sea container level – all with ease – are just par for the course. The system can also be setup with multiple databases keeping completely separate inventories tracking different parameters. Data entry and other system screens have full multi-language support so users in different parts of the world can access the system in their native language and region settings. Multiple levels of units and currency choices are other features of this flexible solution.

Trak360’s Warehouse Management functions are mature and well proven. Our systems have processed billions of transactions, and billions of dollars and pounds of goods. Over 30 years of development and practical application have made the system the reliable and robust solution it is today.
